Video Codec Maker MobiClip Now Property of Nintendo

Nintendo announced today that it has acquired the video codec creator, MobiClip. Although just announced, the Paris-based company was actually purchased by Nintendo back in October 2011. MobiClip has made video codecs for a number of platforms including PC, Nintendo DS, mobile phones and even the GameBoy Advance. Purchasing MobiClip seems like a smart move, considering their skills in making high-quality videos with very low battery consumption.
