One of our readers (who requested to remain anonymous) sent us this photo that he took at one of Kmart ‘s stores. Our tipper tells us that this is in Kmart’s database for price cuts in their Q3 2012 section and the Wii was found to be dropping in price to $99. It would seem logical for Nintendo to do a price drop on their Wii console, due to both lackluster sales as well as to prepare for their upcoming Wii U. One thing to consider about this rumor is that this could just be Kmart doing an exclusive sale on the Wii, and it may not be permanent. We have contacted Nintendo, but have yet to receive a response on the matter. Looks like we may have to wait until E3 or later to find out for sure.

$99 would make complete sense.

The Wii U is not a separate console, it will work with the Wii
