Nintendo confirmed via famous Japanese Famitsu magazine during a Q&A about the new 3DS XL that it will indeed be getting the same circle pad pro treatment that its little brother did. There isn’t much revealed from the Famitsu scan other than it will be launching in Japan in 2012 and will still work with the Kid Icarus stand. It does beg the question of, “why the heck didn’t they add it in the first place?” it certainly has the space for it, or at least we imagined it would.
